Welcome to the 2026 Protocols Media Launch Event

Euro NCAP and ANCAP invite you to an exclusive three-day media event in the Netherlands and Belgium. Join us as we unveil the 2026 Safety Protocols, witness a live high-stakes research crash test of an electric vehicle, and experience the latest in Assisted Driving technology firsthand.

This event offers an unprecedented opportunity to engage with industry leaders and safety experts. Highlights include a live MPDB crash test of the ZEEKR X, technical demonstrations at the Ford Lommel Test Tracks, and a final showcase featuring an incredible display of 102 vehicles.

Please find the detailed programme below and complete your registration to formalise your participation. We look forward to welcoming you to Brussels and Helmond.

An official media team will document the entire event. At the TNO/TASS facility, personal photography and videography are strictly prohibited; only the official Euro NCAP team is authorized to film and approved material will be shared with journalists. 

At Ford Lommel, filming and photography are allowed at designated demonstration areas on tracks reserved for the event. Capturing images during transfers between test tracks is not permitted. 

At the Brussels Gate Viewing Area on Wednesday, all journalists are welcome to take photos of the 102 vehicles on display.

All visitors must strictly comply with local safety regulations and staff instructions at every facility. 

For journalists participating in driving demonstrations (such as with the Ford Ranger or Transit), following the safety instructions of the professional instructors is mandatory.

Monday, 16 March 2026

15:00 – 16:00: Airport Meeting Point: A hostess with a sign will be stationed at the 'Java Coffee bar' in the Arrivals Hall of Brussels Airport (right side, near elevators) to greet arriving journalists.

16:00 – 17:45: Optional Transfer to Helmond: Bus departure from Brussels Airport for transfer to the Fletcher Wellness-Hotel Helmond.

18:30: Lobby Gathering & Welcome Drinks: Meet in the bar area of the Fletcher Wellness-Hotel Helmond for a formal introduction to the programme and a handout of press kits. Journalists will also need to sign the required safety and confidentiality forms for the upcoming track visits.

19:00 – 21:30: Welcome Dinner: Three-course dinner at Restaurant Duco (located within the Fletcher Hotel). 




Tuesday, 17 March 2026

Breakfast at leisure.

08:30: Transfer to TNO/TASS: Group bus departure from the Fletcher Hotel lobby to the TNO/TASS crash facility (luggage may be stored on the bus).

09:15 – 11:00: Protocol Presentation & Crash Test: Live viewing of an MPDB Crash Test (ZEEKR X) followed by a technical presentation on new 2026 Passive Safety protocols.

11:55 – 12:20: Lunch: Grab-and-go sandwich lunch provided at the crash track.

12:30: Travel to Lommel: Journalists will travel from Helmond to the Ford Lommel Test Tracks in a fleet of vehicles featured on the Assisted Driving (AD) list, that may include the Porsche Macan, MG ZS, and Volvo X30.

14:30 – 16:30: Live Demos at Ford Lommel: Rotating technical demonstrations of new safety scenarios:

  • Renault 5: Car-to-Motorcyclist cut-out scenario.
  • Ford Ranger & Ford Transit: Journalists have the opportunity to drive the vehicles during specific safety tests.
  • ZEEKR 001: Demonstration of new DMS/ADAS technology in collaboration with Mobileye.

17:00: Transfer to Brussels: Bus departure from Lommel to the Tangla Hotel Brussels.

19:30: Lobby Gathering: Meet in the Tangla Hotel lobby for the evening's "Tram Experience" transfer.

19:45 – 22:00: The Tram Experience Dinner: A unique 6-course chef’s menu served aboard a moving tram departing from the 'Stockel' stop.



Wednesday, 18 March 

Breakfast at leisure.

09:00: Transfer to Brussels Gate: Bus departure from the Tangla Hotel to Brussels Kart/Gate.

09:30 – 10:00: Welcome Coffee: Morning refreshments upon arrival at Brussels Kart/Gate.

10:00 – 11:00: Official Welcome & Q&A: Leadership briefings from Euro NCAP and ANCAP followed by an open Q&A for the press.

11:15 – 12:00: Viewing Area & Interviews: Access to the main hall featuring 102 cars for photography, filming, and scheduled one-on-one interviews with safety experts and OEM representatives.

12:00 – 13:00: Farewell Lunch: Grab-and-go lunchboxes are provided in the viewing area.

13:00: Departure Transfers: Coach transfer available to depart for Brussels Airport (estimated arrival 13:45).
